This pesto sauce recipe uses less oil than the traditional without sacrificing any favor. Made too much? No problem, you can freeze this sauce for use at a later date.
Pesto Sauce
Ingredients
- 2 cup basil leaves, packed
- 6 tbsp water
- 4 tbsp Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1/4 cup pine nuts
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp lemon zest
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in a food processor and blend until smooth.
